If Liz is still out here I'd love a direct email.

Liz? Can you ping me at sbradcpa@xxxxxxxxxxx and did you load up your system with the files on the C:\?

Yes, it is listed in Add/Remove Programs once Show Updates is checked, indented under Windows Small Business Server 2003. And it is listed in that registry key.

Can you find out if this Update is showing up in "Add\Remove Programs"?

If it is, can you check the registry key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Updates\Windows Small Business Server
2003\SP1\KB909988

And can the two of you ping me directly at sbradcpa@xxxxxxxxxxx?

I have the same issue. I went to Microsoft Update and installed the 909988 update. Several times since it was re-detected as being needed each time. On Microsoft Update's "Show Installed Updated" it shows as having failed the first installation but having been installed successfully a number of times since. I keep getting prompted by Automatic Updates to download and install the same update. I tried uninstalling the update and then reinstalling, but it still keeps wanting to be installed again. I did not yet try rebooting after the uninstall, but I could try that again if someone thinks it might help?

Windows SharePoint Services components may be deleted after you reinstall the Intranet component of Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP1:

You are getting this on our new patch? You can't get that manually.

Hang tight.

I found another post that said to manually download the update. How do you do that? Will that solve the problem?

I have successfully installed this update 9 times according to my update history. However, it is still showing up in Microsoft update that I need to install it. I phoned MSN support but said that this does not fall under their free help. I can not even select the option to "Do not show this update again." How do I successfully install the update so the server doesn't think it needs to be installed?
