RE: Queues in Exchange

HI Barry,

Welcome to SBS newsgroup.

Issue description:
===========

I understand that you have many email stuck on the outbound queue to your
ISP mail server.

Analyzing and suggestion:
===========

Generally speaking, the issue might be caused by many factors, in order to
isolate the issue, please help gather some information:

1. How do you configure your Exchange server to send internet emails via
DNS or using smarthost on ISP? Please rerun CEICW to make sure that you
have selected the correct way to do that. Please also contact your ISP to
make sure that you have a correct MX record on the ISP side or have a FQDN
on the internet.
2. Do you encounter any NDR message from other domain?
3. Is there any problem when sending internal emails?
4. Does it occurs to every outbound email or only occurs for some external
emails domain?
5. Is there any anti-virus software installed on the SBS side, please
temporally stop it to see if the issue can be resolved.

Please note that the SMTP submission to ISP mail server is not relate with
POP3 connectors, it might be your outbound email. Could you check the
pending email to make sure where are the email from and where they want to
send to.

I appreciate your effort to collect information, please feel free to post
back, I am glad to be of assistance.

Best regards,

Charles Yang (MSFT)
