Re: security group membership to use to reboot server

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Go to Help and Support and search "Default Groups." Server Operators have
pretty strong rights on the server, but take a look at Print Operators as
one that can log in locally and shut down the server. (Shut down is the
right you need to be able to reboot). Alternatively, if you don't find a
default group that appeals to you for this purpose, you could create a new
group. Edit the Default Domain Controllers Policy to give the new group
"allow log in locally" and "shut down the system." It's under
computer/windows/security/local policies/user rights.

Whatever you do, make sure you test it before leaving on vacation : -)
