RE: Intranet Problem

Hi Ernie,

Thanks for your reply.

You can do as following on laptop:

1. Right click My Network Places and select Properties.
2. Right click Local Area Connection and select Properties.
3. On General tab, high light Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click
Properties.
4. On the General tab, you can check if you have selected obtain IP and DNS
automatically.
5. If so, you will get the IP from the router. No matter what DHCP server
you use in the LAN, the DHCP server MUST assign SBS' internal NIC as the
DNS server. You may use any one of the following ways:

1) Disable DHCP on router and then enable DHCP on SBS.
2) Configure the DHCP on router to assign SBS' internal NIC as the DNS
server.

For one NIC configuration of SBS, please also refer to the following KB
article:

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Crina Li (MSFT)

| Hi Crina!
|
| The answer are:
| 1. Yes, I added the laptop to the SBS.
| 2. I only have one NIC on the SBS
| 3. 192.168.2.1 is the IP of the wriless router
|
| Question #4 is not clear to me. I don't know how to reconfigure those
| settings.
|
| Thanks for your help. Hope to hear from you again.
