Actually, you can either do an in-place upgrade or do a migration.I am not
sure what exact software running against SQL 2000. If it is a third party
software, please understand that software is developed by the software
vendor independent on Microsoft, and we are not sure how it is designed, so
we cannot provide detail information to you. We suggest that contact the
software vendor to make sure it works compatible with Windows Server 2003
or SBS 2003. Also please check if there are any things else needed to be
done to the application before the upgrade or migration.
