Hello Kyle,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand that your original issue was solved after you remove IE - 7
beta, and your current issue is when you trying to remote connect to some
domain computers' desktops, you got following error message:
"Connectivity to the remote computer could not be established. Ensure that
the remote computer is on and connected to the Windows Small Business
Server Network."
If I have misunderstood your issue, please let me know.
I suggest that we perform the steps in the KB 886209 first. If the issue
persists, then please gather more information for further research:
==========
Suggestion 1:
Users cannot connect to remote desktops by using the Windows Small Business
Server 2003 Remote Web Workplace
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886209
Suggestion 2:
On the problematic client workstation, right click My Computer, Properties,
Remote tab. Make sure that you have checked "Remote Assistance" and "Remote
Desktop".
===========
Will the issue persist now? If yes, please help me to gather following
information for further research:
1. Does this issue occur to all clients or several clients?
2. Does this issue occur to all clients' workstations or several clients'
workstations?
3. Can you RWW -> RDP to SBS Server Desktop?
4. Go to Start -> Run "mstsc" (without quotation marks), input the
problematic client workstation's computer name or its IP address, can you
directly RDP to the problematic client workstation?
5. Open a command window, type the following command:
telnet <public domain name> 3389
What is the result?
Please take your time to perform the steps and gather the information. If
you have any updates, please feel free to post back. I am looking forward
toh hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
