There are other products that work similarly to RSA. The negative to RSA is
that it starts at a 25 user license, and they only support it on a dedicated
server. IMO really cost prohibitive for a small business. Most of these
3rd party products are RADIUS servers, so you can try searching that.
As Susan says, you can minimize a lot of risk by educating your users. For
my remote users, I buy AV software for their home computers upon request
(needless to say about 90% get their AV from me). I just offered everyone a
copy of CounterSpy today, and I suspect I'll be buying a bunch of those
later this week. I have a written policy requiring XP SP2 with AU enabled,
and there's no excuse for not having AV since I buy it - I think most or all
of your users will cooperate if you clearly outline what you expect. Don't
forget the strong password policy while you're on this subject.
