RE: MSDE, Access, SharePoint... I am not sure where to ask this qu

Nathan,
I appreciate your response but I am a bit confussed.
What is the difference between MSDE and WMSDE?
I has been announced that MSDE is being replaced by SQL Server 2005 Express
and MSDE will not longer be supported after 2007.
Also I found a document that talks about Migrating from WMSDE to SQL Server
but in reality what you are using with SharePoint is SQL Server 2000 Desktop
Engine.
It is my understanding with the release of SQL Server 2005, Small Business
Server 2003 currently uses SQL Server 2000 but in the next releases Premium
will use SQL Server 2005 and standard will use SQL Server Express.
So in reality, isn't SQL Server Express replacing MSDE and WMSDE?
So I can use Access to have database files on a share pointe site. Will
that Access also than be able to connect to SQL express and can it do it now?
You can see I am confussed. There are some many products it is hard to keep
up and to be able to tell a client which to use.
Thanks
