Hello SailFL,
Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.
>> 1) While we be able to access these databases using SharePoint? >> 2)
What does access use? Is it compatable to MSDE - SQL Server Express?
Please kindly note the SharePoint is using WMSDE instance on SBS 2003
Standard Server, it is using SQL instance on SBS 2003 Premium SP1 Server if
we upgrade it to SQL Server 2000.
We can upload an Access database (.MDB) into WSS (SharePoint). It is
possible to directly upload the file into WSS document library by removing
the file type block. The steps are as below:
a. Go to Adminsitrative Tools->SharePoint Central Administration.
b. Under "Security Configuration", click "Manage blocked file types"
c. Remove "mdb" from the file extension list.
d. Click OK.
I appreciate your time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please feel
free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Nathan Liu (MSFT)
