RE: Changing SharePoint views when viewing faxes

HI,

Thanks for updates.

I am sorry for not understanding your issue.

>From your description, it seems you want to change the default view on the
explorer view field. I reproduce it on my test machine, it might be a by
design feature. (hard code issue)

I have test we did have a workaround to change it, however it is not
support in this newsgroup, here I would like to give you just as a
workaround. (Please backup the file before you change it)

You can search your SBS, you will find three webfldr.aspx file, one for
document, one for imagine and one for XML, you can change all of them.

Please open one of the file as a test:

In the file you will find the following sentence:

<Title ID=onetiidtile><sharepoint:ListProperty Property="Title"
runat="server"/> Explorer View </Title>

Please change the list property to the one you want.

If this method is not effective, it might be the by design issue. I really
appreciate your understanding on this issue.

Best regards,

Charles Yang (MSFT)

| Hi Charles,
|
| I'm sorry, but your response doesn't address the problem. I think I
should
| have been more clear with my question. I appologize for that.
|
| I know how to change the view in SharePoint using the "settings and
columns"
| link. That much is clear. I can change between Document view and
Explorer
| view without any problem. However, once in Explorer view, there doesn't
seem
| to be a way to setup a default view there.
|
| For example, there are 5 different views available in Explorer view:
| filmstrip, thumbnail, list, details, and icons. I want to permanently
change
| it so that it comes up in Explorer -> LIST view. Not Explorer ->
Filmstrip
| view, which is what's happening to my client.
|
| Hopefully that clears up the question a little more.
|
| Thank you so much for your help.
