Re: License for a member server

Hi Dieter,

Thanks for your update by mail. I am glad to know that thing is getting
well in your side. I appreciate your time and effort to try my suggestions
and get this resolved.

License Logging Service (LLS) is a tool that was originally designed to
help customers manage licenses for Microsoft server products that are
licensed in the Server Client Access License (CAL) model. In your scenario,
there is only one site in your SBS domain, so running the License Logging
Service on the SBS server box is enough. If we enable multiple LLS in one
site of domain, they may cause conflicts.

Please feel free to post back when you need further assistance on this
issue and I am always happy to be assistance of you!

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Jenny Wu

Hi Jenny,

In your latest msg you provided me with a link to an article 883645 which
states that if the license thing on the member server doesn't
work, just turn it off, it is turned off by default. So I did. And presto
there were no more errors in the event log.

So that's the end end of this story I suppose.

Thank you for your efforts.
