Jenny,
You might as well forget about the whole thing. Using the help of Jim
Behning, I found a way to have my remote computer logon to the domain and act
as if they were part of the local domain, just as I needed, simply by
creating a VPN connection. I thought at first that this solution did not
work simply because I was not able to see (browse) anything from the local
network, not even the server. And that's where I went wrong, as everything
was available for me to use, it's just that I did not know what they were
named and how to reach them.
