Re: Access/Publish SBS Web Site

Hello Barry,

Thank you for posting back!

>From your reply, I understand that you set up customize web site on IIS per
KB 885186, and you cannot access it externally.

In this case, please help to confirm following information for research:

1. I assume that the web site you fail to access is
http://jfps01.janveaux.com/. Am I right?

2. What are the web links you type in IE when you accessing OWA and RWW
from Internet? So we will know whether you have registered another FQDN in
ISP for your customize web site http://jfps01.janveaux.com/.

3. Since at this stage, we are not clear whether you have registered one or
two FQDN at ISP. So please see my suggestions:

a. If you have two FQDN, one for SBS Default Web Site (e.g. OWA, RWW, etc),
another for customize web site http://jfps01.janveaux.com/, you need to
configure Web Publishing Rule on ISA 2K4 Server to publish
http://jfps01.janveaux.com/.

b. If you only have one FQDN registered, you can configure
http://jfps01.janveaux.com/ to listen on another port (not Port 80, since
it is reserve for Default Web Site. If you change the listening port for
the Default Web Site and that may cause unexpected publishing problems.).
For example, Port 81. So when you trying to access, you can type
http://jfps01.janveaux.com:81.

c. If you only have one FQDN registered, you also can configure host header
for http://jfps01.janveaux.com/. Please make sure that

324287 HOW TO: Use Host Header Names to Configure Multiple Web Sites in
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324287

4. I still suggest that you disable SocketPooling per KB 813368. After
disable socket pooling, IIS 6.0 will listen on Internal IP address and ISA
Server will listen on External IP address.

Hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or concern,
please feel free to let me know. I am glad to be of further assistance!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
