If you are talking SOFTWARE RAID - forget it
Don't use it at all.
If you are talking IDE or SATA RAID - don't use it unless its a Small Server
at home!!
SCSI and Hardware RAID is the only way to go.
RAID - can be setup AFTER installation
I usually do it when everything else is working ok.
I would then disconnect one drive and put it away
get new drive and do it again
Its also worth doing this before applying patches
saves a lot of grief
