RE: Email hangs in Queue for 1 address, mine!

Hi John,

Thank you for posting here.

To clarify the problem, please let me know:

1. What's the status of the queue?
2. Will you receive NDR after you send the e-mail to Yahoo? If yes, please
paste the content of the NDR here.

In addition, please let me know your e-mail domain name and let me know
whether you've registered A/MX/PTR records on your ISP.

3. Use Telnet to troubleshoot. (This method can help us determine if the
problem occurs when communicating with the SMTP virtual server)

Please use Telnet to try to send a message and use
youremail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as the parameter of "Mail From" command and use
user@xxxxxxxxxx as the parameter of "Rcpt to" command. (where
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the SMTP address that is hosted on your local
e-mail domain and user@xxxxxxxxxx is one of the several users you sent to).
For more information about how to use telnet, please refer to the following
article.

XFOR: Telnet to Port 25 of IMC to Test IMC Communication:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/153119

4. Enable Message Tracking on by right-click your Exchange server in ESM
and click Properties.

For more information, please check the "Message Tracking" section in the
following KB article.
257265 XCON: General Troubleshooting for Exchange 2000 Transport Issues
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257265/en-us

Then:

a) Search for the message in Tools \ Message Tracking Centre. (You can use
the "Sender" "Recipients" as search criteria.)
b) Double click to open it.
c) Post the error information here.

I'd suggest you to create a new SMTP connector for Yahoo to by-pass DNS.
Then, check whether the problem can be resolved.

Please refer to:

How to Bypass DNS Name Resolution to Test SMTP Mail Flow to Remote Domains
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/285863

I hope the above info helps and I look forward to your update.

Regards,

Bill Peng
