Dave,
I finally got to a senior tech support rep at Linksys that seemed to
understand what was going on and he had me change many setting including
select an IP address automatically to a specific IP address and that seems to
have done the trick.
I then went to the Linksys website and downloaded the latest firmware for my
wireless router and that allowed my wireless usb network adapter to work
properly to connect my Tivo to my network.
This was quite the ordeal.
