RE: Slow file access

Hi:
Thanks for your detailed reply!

I agree with you that the problem is probably related to the user profile.
Please take your time to perform the remaining steps and tell me the
outcome.

Meanwhile, please try using the files and settings transfer wizard to move
the profile from the original computer to a new one and see if the problem
can be reproduced.

293118 HOW TO: Use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard in Windows XP

I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me know if you have
any questions or concerns.

Have a nice weekend!

Best Regards
Edward Tian(MSFT)

| Thanks Edward

|
| 1. This issue does appear to be isolate to the one account.
| 2. Other Excel and other file types seem to be okay.
| 3. All documents are saved and accessed directly from a shared folder on
the
| SBS Server.
| 4. The problem occurs no matter which PC this user logs onto.
| 5. I'll look at on next visit to client site.
| 6. I'll look at on next visit to client site.
|
| The problem occurs also with a local copy of the document.
|
| Is this a profile thing??
|
| Thanks
|
