SBS 2003 lost connection to Internet

Hey Guys,

Hope you can help. Just installed SBS 2003 for a company that was using a
Dell server running 2000 Pro for file sharing. OS setup and data transfer
was not a problem. Connecting the art dept Macs was a breeze. Hiccups
started when the Ext Network drive backups started.
In the middle of the backup the onboard NIC crapped on me and the server
started "Network Cable Disconnected" bs. After a quick reboot the NIC was
back up and running and the backup was scheduled for less trafficed hours.
The next day though the OB NIC died again. This time around I installed a
dedicated PCI NIC. Local traffic is not a problem. But the server no
longer gets to the Internet.
Its behind a Netgear Router on DSL. Not interested in setting up ICS, but
do need access to the internet for updates on the server.
Ran the Internet connectoin wizard and everthing looked good, but no go.
Only DNS numbers that come back are the servers address. Running a program
to check for external Internet IP shows only the server address also. No
pings getting out. Did Windows lock internet access to the OB NIC MAC
address?
Manually set the DSL DNS addresses and server still refuses to leave the
local network.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon
