Hi Wallace,
Thanks for using the SBS Newsgroups.
Please try the following steps and then run the SQL Server 2000 setup again:
A. Click Start, and then click Run.
B. In the Open dialog box, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) and
then Click OK.
C. In Registry Editor, expand the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
D. On the File menu, click Export.
E. In the File name text box, type "Session Manager Key" (without the
quotation marks) and click Save.
F. In the right-pane of the Registry Editor window, right-click
PendingFileRenameOperations and click Delete.
G. In the Confirm Value Delete message dialog box that appears, click Yes.
You may also check other control set keys (for example, ControlSet001,
ControlSet002, and so forth) for the same values, export and then delete
them.
H. Restart the computer.
Can we install SQL Server successfully at this time?
