Dear Customer,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
Thanks a lot for Andrew's input!
I am sorry that from your description, I cannot have a clear idea what
exact goal you want to achieve. So please help to gather following
information for research:
1. Do you want to publish a NTP Server through ISA Server?
2. Do you install the "Time Server" on SBS Server or ISA Server?
3. Where did you install ISA Server, SBS Server or another machine?
4. What is the version of ISA Server, ISA 2K or ISA 2K4?
5. What is your Network Topology? For example:
{ADP} {Internet} {Router} {NIC2} {SBS 2K3 Server} {NIC1} {Internal Clients}
6. I am sorry that I am not very clear "ADP for payroll processing in an
Internet application", is "ADP" a third party application?
7. Please explain in detail "I can assign a private IP address and ping the
clock all day long, but what method do I use to make use of my private IP
so that ADP can gain access to the clock from outside my network".
For your additional information:
The KB article 295667 describes how to allow connections to third-party
Internet-based update services, the connection to a software vendor update
service from an update application that is connected to the Internet
through Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA) 2000.

Please take your time to perform the steps above and collect the
information for us to troubleshoot your issue. I am looking forward to
hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
