RE: Event viewer errors

Hi Gerard,

Thanks for your reply.

Some articles are for your reference, it may not apply to your situation.
Regarding the virus scanning, you can try to disable the scan temporarily
and test if the problem still occurs.

Regarding how to make sure if you have patched the server, you can do as
following:

1. Open Server Management.
2. Expand Advanced Management | Server name (Exchange) | Administrative
Groups | first administrative group | Servers.
3. Right click server name and select Properties.
4. On general tab, you can find the detailed information.

Hope it helps and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Crina Li (MSFT)

| Hi Crina Li, thanks for all the suggestions, I'm still a bit confused
about
| whether or not some of these articles apply to our situation as we are
using
| SBS2003 while some of the articles refer to exchange 2000.
|
| However we are using a virus scanning engine by Trend Micro which is
| ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange ver 6.21, as it is a bespoke AV engine
for
| exchange I'm not sure that I should disable scanning of the exchange
folders
| as the AV software is continually cleaning virus's from the mail server.
|
| I'm game to install the Service Pack as you mention (isn't SP2 the
latest),
| however how do I tell whether or not my server is currently patched?
|
| Cheers Gerard
