RE: Remote Access Wizard - SBS 2003 SP1

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for posting back!

I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to
answer your systems and applications questions. Your understanding is
greatly appreciated!

I have read through all the log files you sent me and I noticed following
error information:

1. In the Set Up log, the time indicates Year of 2004: [Setup run at
22:37:37 on 10/07/04].

2. In the errorlog.txt, the time also indicates [10/07/04,19:56:12].

3. In the svcpack.log which only being created after you installed Windows
Server 2003 SP1, the time indicates 2005/08/05 16:43:48.914 (local).

4. The log file KB885918 is only created after you install full patches of
SBS 2K3 SP1, that is why you cannot find it on SBS Server.

5. In the screen shot, it indicates it is "Small Business Server Service
Pack 1", however, on my test machine, it displays exact the same even
though I only have Windows Server 2003 SP1 installed.

So from the log files, there is no any evidence that you install SBS 2K3
SP1.

==================

To check if SBS 2003 SP1 is installed, you also can take a look at this
registry key:

a. Run "regedit" on SBS Server.

b. Expand to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\ServicePackNumber.

c. What is the value data of "ServicePackNumber"?

====================

I suggest that we strictly follow the instructions below to install rest of
the SBS 2K3 SP1:

[Note]: Please read it carefully and follow the instruction strictly to
complete the installation.

Thanks a lot for your time and co-operation! If you have any further
questions or concern, please feel free to let me know. I am glad to be of
further assistance!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
