Hi Bob,
Sorry for delay response due to the weekend issue.
As I know, the ISA log should be collect after 4 hours or more after
reproduce the issue, as you could not access the exchange and RWW after you
reinstall ISA 2004, it might be your ISA 2004 is not configured correctly,
you need to rerun CEICW to make sure everything is configured correctly
then after reproduce the issue then you can collect the ISA log at that
locations.
Thanks for your understanding on this issue, please feel free to post back
your results.
Best regards,
Charles Yang (MSFT)

| Hi Bob,
|
| Thanks for updates.
|
| After checking the log carefully, we see no entry to access your Exchange
| website. So could you kindly reproduce the problem when you access to
OWA.
| As you refer that you access the OWA via https://server FQDN/exchange,
but
| we could not find such entry in your log files.
|
| Thanks again for your effort, please reproduce the issue and gather the
| latest ISA log for me.

| | |
| | | HI Bob,
| | |
| | | Welcome to SBS newsgroup.
| | |
| | | Issue description:
| | | =============
| | |
| | | I understand that you encountered the problem error 403, when you
| access
| | | the OWA from internet.
| | |
| | | Analyzing and suggestions:
| | |
| | | ==============
| | |
| | | Just as you said, this error mean the IP you access to OWA is
blocked.
| So
| | I
| | | suggest you check my suggestions below:
| | |
| | | 1. As you means you have tried all kinds of PC to access the OWA you
| | | encountered same problem. Have you tried to logon OWA from internal
| | | clients? You can try to logon OWA via http://server local ip
| | | address/exchange from local clients to see if the issue still exist
or
| | not,
| | | if not this issue is not relate to Exchange but relate to IIS or your
| ISA
| | | setting.
| | | 2. If the issue still exist even try to logon on OWA from internal
| | clients,
| | | please check your IIS setting, you can navigate to IIS node on the
| server
| | | managements. Right click the default website; choose properties, in
the
| | | directory security tab, click IP address and domain name restriction,
| | make
| | | sure that there is no restriction there.
| | | 3. If the issue does not exist on internal clients, it might be some
| | | misconfiguration on IIS or ISA. Please rerun CEICW to publish the OWA
| to
| | | internet to see if the issue can be resolved, you can refer to the KB
| | | article below to rerun CEICW:
| | |
| | | 825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business
| Server
| | | 2003
| | | http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763
| | |
| | | 4. If all the IIS setting is correctly the issue should be existed on
| the
| | | ISA side, please kindly offer the ISA log and ISAinfo follow the
steps
| | | below:
| | |
| | | A. Please collect the ISAinfo log for further analysis:
| | | a. Download the file from the following URL:
| | | http://www.isatools.org/isainfo/ISAInfo.zip
| | | b. Extract all files to a folder on ISA server
| | | c. Double click Isainfo.js. This will generate 2 files
| | | ISAInfo2004-<computer-name>.log and ISAInfo2004-<computer-name>.xml
in
| | the
| | | current folder.
| | | d. Please send these files to me.
| | | B. Collect the detailed ISA installation log. Open Windows Explorer,
| | | navigate to %windir%\temp\ folder. Compress the files
ISAFWSV_xxxx.log
| | and
| | | send the package to me at v-chayan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
| | |
| | | 5. Does the issue exist on other internal website such as RWW, please
| | also
| | | try to logon RWW from internet to see if the issue exists or not.
| | |
| | | I appreciate your time to perform tests, if you have any further
| | concerns,
| | | please let me know. I will be here waiting for your updates.
| | |
| | |
