ok Being an AVID mcafee user for many years now, I see all this talk of
trend micros C/S/M product so think "OK, I will download and see how it
works for me"
Downloaded etc. as trial product states will update for 30 days.
Server is a 2003 Server with ISA (not SBS but doesnt really matter)
Installed and rolled out client no problem.
However it hasnt updated for ages!
if I run the Manual Update in its Security WEB Control Panel it goes through
but states NO UPDATES AVAILABLE.
However in the Security Dashboard under LIVE STATUS. it indicates that my
server is OUTDATED as far as updates etc.
I have tried in the global settings With and with specifying a proxy, used
Server IP and port 8080 (as this is ISA)
Anything I may be missing?
Thought I would contact Support but this was not an easy task on the
website. SO I HAVE A BOXED PRODUCT FROM RESELLER etc. etc. NO I HAVE A TRIAL
FROM YOUR WEBSITE, this wasnt an option so NO support.
Couldnt even find a phone number
So I think "OK" Imagine it is a Live server on a live site and I have an
issue relating to this product, do I want to be a dead duck with no backup
from the company!
Mcafee is looking even better than usual at the moment!.
I might add my sons computer now appears to have also contracted a virus so
I am in the middle of sorting that! had the C/S/M been working probably
would have been ok!!!!
Any words of wisdom for me apart from USE MCAFEE!
Thanks
TT
(Excuse the slight moan, but I am getting increasingly frustrated with
products that dont seeem to work out of the Box, appreciate in this case it
may just be a config on my part that I have not checked/Changed - but it did
update itself fine initially - only 4 days into the trial by the way)
TT
