Do you simply want to provide access to your Sharepoint site for your local,
logged on users when they are traveling? Or are you wanting to set up an
Extranet Sharepoint site for your extenral customers to access?
If you have run CEICW and used your public IP address, and have enabled
Sharepoint to be made public, you should be able to let your logged on users
have access.
For extenral users:

So, without assuming anything, did you run CEICW and generated your self
cert using your IP address, and selected to open asusming you e
