For your description, I understand that you failed to apply Windows SP1 to
the SBS 2003 server box and got the "access denied" error message. If I am
off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

For time critical issues (not business down), we suggest you contact your

For your now information, please double check the Administrator permissions
and ensure the SBS 2003 server box run normally. Also you can try to create
a new domain admin user account with Add User Wizard and then logon the
server box with the user account to test if the issue disappears.

Note: Please strictly follow Microsoft release note to process update.

If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information for
analyze the issue:

1. For Windows Server 2003 SP1 installation failure: C:\Windows\svcpack.log.

2. Check if there is error event log in Event viewer (Start
->Administrators Tools ->Event Viewer). If yes, please help me save a text
copy of Application /System log for further analyze:

To save a text copy of Application /System log:

A. Open Event Viewer: Start -> All Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Event Viewer.
B. Right-click on Application/System log and select "Save Log File As?".

Please add all files to a zip file and mail me at v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
