So I put it in the trusted zone, and it did connect. When I told it to
go, it said that if you were not an administrator it would fail. So I
went back and made my new self an administrator, and created a computer
with the name I wanted, as the one it offered was not descriptive of
anything.

Then, back to the client and set restarted the wizard, found the existing
user name, found the computer name I wanted, and let it rip. The machine
is not connected to the network. I've found my preferred home page and
committed MSN to the deep sixteen hundred foot level of the Pacific Ocean.
I am now installing Office from my administrative install point. I
wonder if there is a 64-bit version of Office.
