Inherited botched w2k3 SBS install, is this recoverable?

We had an employee quit recently. One of his last projects was setting up
2003 Small Business Server Standard for a small office locally. He's gone,
I've inherited it.

I see some significant problems with the way he's set this up.

The issue relevant to this newsgroup is that Windows Server 2003 for Small
Business Server has been installed (ie. the underlying OS) but not Small
Business server (ie. the suite of server apps and the management console).
The server came preinstalled, and I think he just used it the way it came
out of the box without running the SBS setup.

A domain has been set up, and Exchange has been set up (although it looks
like noone is actually using it -- mail on the client side is strictly from
an outside POP3 server, and going to a local pst file).

With a domain already in existence can I run the SBS setup to install this
right, without screwing anything up?

Thanks
