I need help using my third network adapter....

I have three network adapters, one is set thru the wizard as the 'internet
connection'
the second is set as the 'local network connection'
I wanted the third adapter in my system to be a separate 'local network
connection'
to which I wanted to attach an AP, and have it restricted to specific ports
of my choosing, and not the
real 'local network'
The wizard only allows me to define the use of two network adapters.
the "routing and remote access" is the only adminstrative tool I see that
lists all three adapters,
but it does not let me do anything with the adapter, just view some of it's
properties.
I need this third adapter to supply DHCP (for the accesspoint to get an ip
from)
Currently, Network connections is listing it's IP as 169.254.92.59
can anyone even give me the key phrases I should be hunting for, or can
anyone just shut me down now with a 'it can't be done'?
.
