Brandy,
I am soooo frustrated. As I mentioned, I am not permitted to keep the
network down all day while I trouble shoot so I swith to the 2 nic setup and
try your suggestions then I need to quickly put it back to 1 nic setup so
users can continue to work. My progress is slooooow.
You suggested I change the external nic hardware. When I am in 2-nic setup,
the server can browse the web fine. The only connection is the ext nic.
When I am in 2-nic my lan functions for accounting. My server can surf the
web. My ws can ping yahoo.com by name and by ip. MY ws can not surf with IE.
I think I have an ISA problem and or DNS.
I wish you could help me clean up ISA and DNS in a 1-nic setup and then I
could switch to 2-nic after they are clean.
I ran dcdiag and got the following messages
starting here vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

Although the Guid DNS name

resolved, the server name (columbia.rnc.admin) resolved to the IP
address (192.168.1.2) and was pingable. Check that the IP address is
registered correctly with the DNS server.

Can you please tell me what to fix so my server holding the PDC role

address while set up in a 1-nic configuration?
Thank you, Gordon
