HI Shaun,
Welcome to SBS newsgroup.
Issue description:
=============
I understand that you could not access the monitoring reports via the
server management, the issue also occurs on companyweb.
Analyzing and suggestions:
==============
Please note that you may have to reinstall monitoring components via SBS
integrated setup.
Generally speaking, the issue should be related to the security setting on
the monitoring virtual directory or the monitoring files is corrupt due to
some unexpected reason. In order to narrow the issue, please perform the
steps below:
1. Please rerun CEICW, in the web services selection page make sure that
the monitoring and report option is checked. You can refer to the KB
article below to make sure that you have run the Wizard correctly.
825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763
2. Please also follow the steps below to check the security setting on
monitoring virtual directory on IIS node:
A. Open IIS node on the server managements.
B. Expand to the monitoring Virtual directory under the default websites.
C. In the virtual directory tab, make sure that Read Directory browsing and
log visit and index this resources is checked. Please also check the
properties of default website to make sure the setting is same as the above.
D. In the directory security make sure that windows integrate
authentication is selected on the authentication methods.
E. Run iisreset on command line then to see if the problem is resolved or
not?
3. Please also test to see if you can access the c:\inetpub\monitoring
folder. Make sure that all domain user have been able to access that
folder, you can check the permission of that folder to make sure that
domain user have read permission.
For the other internal website, we need to know the detailed error message
when you access from internal client.
I appreciate your effort on this issue. Please paste your results back as
your earliest convenience. It's my pleasure to be of further assistance.
Best regards,
Charles Yang (MSFT)
