Re: Do I need more then 1 phone line for shared fax on SBS 2003?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Ok this is what I recommend...

If you think you will be receiving confidential faxes from this fax line..

Configure to Archive, and Send to a Email (only)

The email will be a Distribution list
Say... Administration List (Containing Various People)

Since most adminstratitive assistants deal with personal and confidential
items
they can forward the email (Attached image) to the appropriate person.
..
If you send it to the company web, it may get ignored or may contain private
information.
However some business, get a lot of BIDS from faxing so it's auto
to the company Web Sent to a distribution list, and printed on a printer.

Your company may have similar needs (Choose what best works for you)

You cannot however have a fax sent to John with Shared fax services and end
up in his email.
and then a fax sent to Jane and then the fax only goes to her email..
So Smart Routing is not available with SBS Shared fax Services...

The Distribution list works well for most companies..
