Hi Dray,
Thanks for your posting here.
Hi Mike,
How about your situation? Do you have any chance to try my suggestions or
collect some information for me? If your symptom is similar to Dray's,
please also follow the steps to try to resolve the issue.
For there is not the MSSQL$SHAREPOINT service, that indicates a incomplete
installatiion of the SBS 2003. For your now scenario, I suggest you strictly
refer to the following KB article steps to smooth any thing well.
How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server 2003
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site (829114)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114
*Note: Before you reinstall Companyweb website, please if the IIS service is
listed in service console. If yes, please follow KB aricle 829114 to
reinstall Companyweb.
If there is even no the IIS service or the IIS service does not run
properly, you have to reinstall IIS to setup intranet sites.
How to reinstall Internet Information Services 6.0 in Windows Small Business
Server 2003 (887305)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=887305
How about the result?
If the issue persists,Please kindly help me collect some information for
further troubleshooting the issue:
a). For Windows Server 2003 SP1 installation failure:
C:\Windows\svcpack.log.
b) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server
2003\Logs\setup.log
c) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server
2003\Logs\errorlog.txt
d) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server
2003\Logs\eventlog.txt
e). Please respectively save a text copy of Application /System log:
1). Open Event Viewer: Start -> All Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Event Viewer.
2). Right-click on Application/System log and select "Save Log File As?".
Please add all the files to a zip file and send to my mail address
v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I appreciate your time and efforts to the issue. I am looking forward to
your reply!
Have a nice weekend!
Best Regards,
Jenny Wu
