If you wish to build servers and purchase OEM
software for the servers you build.
Once you have registered as a system builder, you
will receive information on how to legally purchase OEM software to use in the
systems you build. And its not from these websites offering OEM
software in single packages, without a new computer system. (A Mouse does
not qualifity as the hardware to buy OEM, don't care what they say.

So basically Microsoft won't allow me to be my
own OEM and build my own server :( That is effectively
what I will be doing by getting a very basic server tower and adding my own
numerous HDs, extra memory, tape dirves and all sorts. It's hardly a
case that the server tower supplier is going to be able to configure the
software to suit the box for me.
I knew I'd have to support it myself, but been
quite happy doing that with the current SBS2000 I've had for 4
years.
It's a good way to encourage me to look at Open
Source alternatives.
What Allan Said OEM versions of any product
must be sold with the product.
I.E. you cannot purchase Server Hardware from
one location and the OEM software from somewhere else. Its not
legal.
Also remember that support for SBS if you
purchase OEM must be obtained from the OEM...not from
Microsoft.

Sorry,
no - you'd have to confirm with the OEM. Those prices are retail, I
have found cheaper and I didn't find the OEM pricing to be cheaper in
any case IIRC. Remember with OEM it is tied to the
hardware...

Hi, I'm about to replace our aging SBS2000 server. Various retailers
