Re: CompanyWeb

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting here! Also thanks for Les's input.

For your description, I understand that the client computers can not access
Companyweb site. If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Let us do some tests to trouble shoot the issue:

I. Please check all workstations' DNS and Gateway settings. Please ensure
workstations' DNS point to the SBS server internal NIC IP. And the external
and internal NICs'' DNS of SBS server will be both pointed to internal NIC
IP. This is the recommended and normal configuration.

II. Please ensure proper binding order of the network adapter cards. The
internal network card should be at the top. The detail steps:

a. Right-click the My Network Place and click Properties to open Network
Connections page.
b. Click Advanced in the menu and click Advanced Settings in dropdown list.
c. Under the Adapters and Bindings tab page put the internal Nic at the top
in Advanced Settings page.

III. Rerun CEICW (Server Management console -> Internet and Email ->
Connect to the Internet) to ensure the proper network connection be
configured. I suggest you follow the KB article steps to configure network
configuration to smooth the process.

2003

Try to test, does the issue be fixed?

If the issue persists, please help me collect some information to further
analyze the issue:

1. Can you access the Companyweb site on the server box? Try to test using
domain admin account.

2. Can all client computers access internet successfully? Can they access
other build-in web site such as RWW (https://publicFQDN/remote or
https://IP/remote)?

3. How the clients access the Companyweb site? Using URL such as:
http://companyweb, http://servername/companyweb, or http://IP/companyweb?
Try to test using the others, how about the result?

4. What is the accurate error message when client computer access
the Companyweb site? Could you kindly help catch a screen shot of the error
messages?

5. Have you installed ISA on the server box? Did you encounter any error
during you installed SBS 2003 and installed the server successfully?

6. Please run command "IPconfig /all" (no quotations marks) respectively in
server side and any client workstation to get IP report to me. You can mail
me the information offline: v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

7. Please save a text copy of Application /System log for analyze:

A. Open Event Viewer: Start -> All Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Event Viewer.
B. Right-click on Application/System log and select "Save Log File As?".

I appreciate your time and efforts to perform test. I am happy to be
assistance of you and look forward to hearing from you!

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,

Jenny Wu
