Hi I have a question about a problem on SBS2003 after I installed
ProjectServer 2003 with all four updates. After doing so, no other virtual
folder insted of the /projectserver folder work anymore. (e.g. no exchange
folder, no monitoring, no oma and so on)
When I tried to connect the public folder inside exchange systemmanger, the
error c1030af7 occured, but this error is in direct conjunction to the errors
described above.
During reading the sbs newsgroups, I found some line about the errors and
the questions comming from MS. So I also answered this questions and have
attached them closely.
kindly regards and I hope we could solve this problem.

Thanks a lot for Lanwench's input!
I understand initially when you trying to access Public Folder in Exchange
System Manage (ESM), you received ID c1030af2, then you followed KB 839744,
and now your current issue is you got username and password prompt. If I
have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
Based on my research, the problem may occur because of the following
factors:
1. Internet Information Services settings are not correct. For example,
Default website is listening on a port other than port 80,
ExchangeApplicationPool has been deleted in IIS.
-- all settings are ok, all pools exists
2. ISA Server was controlling port 80 and stopped the IIS server from
starting.
-- no ISA Server
-- The SBS Server has SP1, SP1 on Exchange2k3, SP3 on SQL2000 and
ProjectServer with all 4 updates.
=============================
Before we start to troubleshoot the issue, please help to confirm following
settings on your Internet Information Services:
a. Access the property page of "Default Web Site" (Internet Information
Services\Yourdomain\Web Sites\Default Web Site). Then on the Home Directory
tab, ensure Application pool is set to "DefaultAppPool".
-- ok
b. On the ISAPI filters tab, let me know which filters are listed.
-- on DefWebPage: stsfltr (high), sbsfltr (high)
c. On the Directory Security tab, "Authentication and Access Control",
click Edit and ensure the "Enable anonymous access" is selected.
-- ok
==============================
Also, please check the IIS logs to see if all http requests are connecting
over port 80. If any other port is listed, then you will get this error.
To enable the IIS log, use the following steps:
a. In Internet Information Services console, please open the Properties
page of the Default Web Site.
b. In the Web Site tab, please check the option "Enable logging".
c. Select W3C Extended Log File Format from the list below.
d. Click the Properties button beside. In the General Properties tab,
please confirm the following settings:
i. On the General tab:
Check the option Daily.
Check the option "Use local time for file naming and rollover".
Confirm the setting for "Log file directory" to be
"%WinDir%\System32\LogFiles"
ii. On the Advanced tab:
Make sure all the check boxes have being checked.
e. Then, reproduce the problem. All actions will be logged under the folder
"C:\WINDOWS\System32\LogFiles\W3SVC#" (# is a number. The number for the
Default Web Site is 1). Please send the latest log files to me.
If it is not 80 port, please open Internet Information Services console,
open the property page of the Default Web site, make sure the default TCP
port is pointed to 80
