Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

To narrow down the problem, would you please help me collect the following
information?

1. Are you using SBS 2003 standard or premium edition?
2. Does the apps.dat exist?
3. If you copy the apps.dat from a working SBS 2003 SP1 server to
problematic SBS, does this help?
4. Is the computer account created?
5. Please help me collect the log files in the "%sbsprogramdir%\Support\"
folder for analysis.

| I am running Windows SBS Server 2003 professional with SP1. After I
applied
| SP1 and when creating a user, I get the following error:

| The client configuaration file (apps.dat) is either missing or corrupted.
| The Add User Wizard will create the users you have specified but computer
| accounts will not be created.

| After clicking OK, the user account gets created. How can I fix this
error
| in the computer account section of the wizard? Any help will be greatly
| appreciated.
