Re: Help With Intranet Re-Install

Hi,

Thanks for updates.

We need to rename the folder name not the sub folder then copy it back from
SBS CD. After researching, the steps we offered is only applicable for SBS
WSS site not for the sharepoint site, we need uninstall the shareopint 2.0
on the SBS 2003 to make sure only WSS site exist on SBS 2003.

Then you can either refer to the KB 829114 or the detailed steps I referred
in my first reply to reinstall companyweb.

Hope the above information helpful. I am glad to be of assistance.

Best regards,

Charles Yang (MSFT)

| I have a similar problem but this was caused by the client unstalling
| Sharepoint Services 2.0 via add/remove programs and the manualy
installing
| STSv2 in the thought that he was installing the latest version of
Sharepoint.
|
| I have followed the article in KB829114 but installing intranet gives an
| error and fails. In the error log a line states: Intranet: [2]
| CClientX::InitializeModule found STS not installed by SBS.
|
| Can STSv2 be un-installed or will the instructions here resolve this
issue.
|
| Incidentally, in step 2. and 3. do you mean 'rename the folder "Windows
| Small Business Server 2003" and "Microsoft Windows Small Business server"
or
| the folders within these two folders?
