RE: SBS2003 Backup failed Event ID: 5634

Hello Mark,

Thank you for posting back!

Please use the newly created admin account to rerun Backup Wizard to create
a scheduled Backup task and see whether this issue can be reproduced.

[Note]: When you performing all the tests, please temporary disable Norton
AV and Windows Firewall.

Additionally, I have found the following suggestions and see whether it
helps.

1> Use NTBACKUP with scheduled tasks and check the result. To do so:

a. Click Start, click Run, type ntbackup, and then press Enter. The Backup
or Restore Wizard launches.

b. On the Welcome to the Backup or Restore Wizard page, click Advanced Mode.

c. On the Schedule Jobs, click Add Job.

d. In the Welcome to the Backup Wizard, click Next.

e. Select "Back up selected files, drives, or network data" for testing.

f. Proceed to the page of "Items to Back Up", please select several test
files for testing purpose.

g. Click Next and proceed to page of "When to Back Up", select Later.

h. Click "Set Schedule" button to set scheduled time, input the Job Name.

i. Click Next and input the account name and password you going to use to
run the Backup.

j. Click OK and Finish.

k. Wait and see whether the issue can be reproduced.

2> If the issue persists, please go to client workstation sue01, run
"eventvwr" (without quotation marks), check whether there is any error in
Application and System. If yes, double click it, click the Copy button and
paste the full content to the Newsgroup.

I suggest you that send your reply to our Newsgroup so the other customers
who visit our Newsgroup regularly can benefit or share their information
among us.

Thanks a lot for your time and cooperation. I am looking forward to hearing
from you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
