Dear Jim:
Thank you for posting here.
>From the description, I understand that you have installed ISA 2004 on the
SBS 2003 server and want to import the original ISA 2000 setting which was
exported from previous failed ISA integration install. If I'm off base,
please do let me know.
Could you please let me know what the current status is? Can I assume that
you have installed ISA 2004 and run the CEICW to configure the firewall
settings? If there is no specific customized configuration in original ISA
2000, you may simply use the CEICW generated settings.
To import the xml into the ISA 2004 server, you can use the utility
Sbsisa2k4setup. Please copy the xml file to c:\ folder; open a command
prompt; navigate to the SBS 2003 SP1 premium CD\ISAsetup folder. Run the
following command:
Sbsisa2k4setup /IMPORTFILE " C:\filename.xml "

Please also help to gather the following information. If the problem
persists, we can isolate the problem according to the info. If the problem
can be resolved by about command line operation, I will check the log to
see if there is any potential problem existed.
1. Open Windows explorer. Navigate to the folder
%sbsprogramdir%\support\.Collect the file sbsisa2k4setuplog.txt and send it
to me at v-edtian@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
2. Send the exported xml file to me at v-edtian@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
3. Use the ISAinfo utility to capture the current ISA configurations:
a. Download the file from the following URL:
http://www.isatools.org/isainfo/ISAInfo.zip
b. Extract all files to a folder on ISA server
c. Double click Isainfo.js. This will generate 2 files
ISAInfo2004-<computer-name>.log and ISAInfo2004-<computer-name>.xml in the
current folder.
d. Please send these files to me.
I appreciate you taking time to perform the tests and collect the
information. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let
me know. I look forward to your reply!
Have a nice day!
Best Regards
Edward Tian(MSFT)

| Hi,
|
| I attempted to install the Premium SP1 some days ago. I have ISA 2000
before.
|
| When I got to ISA 2004 upgrade it failed. The error message told me where
my
| ISA2000 settings were stored at a specific folder. It then said try the
| wizard again and on completion import old settings. I did and ISA 2004 is
now
| installed and in working.
|
| However I wanted to import my previous ISA 2000 settings. When I go to
| import them, it asks me for a password. I did not enter one in the
upgrade or
| any other process.
|
| Thank you in advance.
