http://<servername>/exchange authentication

When I goto http://<servername>/exchange a dialog pops up requesting user
and password, after "<username>" and the password three times it says access
denied
If I enter the username as "<domainname>/<username>" I can log in and
everything works wonderfully

before anyone gets smart don't just tell me "well just log in
"<domainname>/<username>" - I know its not supposed to work like that =)

I found this kb article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;843539

but I installed the hotfix and it didn't resolve the issue, I still have to
enter the username as "<domainname>/<username>"

Tonite I'll restart the server even though the article said I shouldn't have
to.

Can anyone else think of something else I need to do? It sounds like the
hotfix should have fixed my problem? Perhaprs I'm dealing with something
else entirely?
