Regarding your Remote Desktop question, you can install a Windows Server
2003 box as a member server with Terminal Services in Application mode. You
will need additional TS licences but it will allow your remote users to
continue to use Terminal Services and the full version of Outlook.
Also, if the only remote access requirement is email and sharepoint then you
may consider using RWW to access the companyweb and RPC over HTTP to allow
Outlook 2003 to access mailboxes directly.
