Re: Sharepoint services reinstall after SP1

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Brandy!

Thanks for your response.

(1) Yes, the c:\inetpub\companyweb folder and contents were reconstructed
(2) Yes, I followed KB829114 when I removed and reinstalled Sharepoint
(3) The reference to Susan Bradley's instructions applied to the
construction of a CD3 folder on the hard drive when you are dealing with SP1.
(The instructions in KB829114 are deficient at this point.)
(4) As I mentioned in my previous email, I could do 5 out of 6 of your
accessibility tests (opening localhost etc).
(5) The one that still fails is //companyweb. What is encouraging is that
the error message I see is (I think) one that is generated by company web. I
will email it to you.
(6) My reason for asking you where you are located is to find out if you are
in a time zone that is at all close to that of New Zealand. It could
influence what time of the day I post/email.

I look forward to hearing back

Many thanks

Godfrey
