Hi Crina,
I haave sent the log files you requested via email as there a quite a lot of
them and it would be messy to post them here, as to your questions please
find the anwsers below:
1) Yes, I have installed the Service Packs in the order they are supplied on
the three CDs, I did not apply the Exchange one as I had already installed
that, should I have re-installed it?
2) I got the message the SBS2K3 SP1 had installed and required a re-boot
only after the installation filed half way through and asked that I look at
the log file and reapir whatever was causing the problem, but the elog file
did not say that anythinig had failed. After closing the log file the
Finished Box appeared and the machine was re-booted.
Having said all that, the SBS SP1 was in a loop asa per my first posting
which I had to kill off after the 6th loop and thtere is the issue after the
Windows 2003 SP1 was installed saying that the normala configuration could
not be used and that a previous one would be used instead.
3) The machine reports that the SBS SP1 is installed under My Computer.
The only indication so far that all is not as expected is that the fax to
email is not working and it reports that the DLLs are invalid. But I ama not
happy thata the SBS SP1 in the first instant looped and then failed half way
through and then appeared to complete, plus the error on the Windows 2003 SP1
install.
I have seen another post in this Forum that made the recomendation that the
SP be removed and then installed again, I will be back ono the Customer's
site this Thursday and I would like to know how best to procede, perhaps the
log files will give you some extra clues?
Cheers
