Re: IMAP not defaulting sent/drafts folder

Hi Jjwolven,

Thank you for your update.

Based on my testing, we cannot reassign/reroute the Drafts box as creating
a rule to save sent items on an IMAP Server, since the rule only affects
for either Check messages when they arrive or Check messages after sending.
Please refer to the following KB article to save Sent Items on an IMAP
Server:

198854 OL2000: (IMO) How to Save Sent Items on an IMAP Server
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=198854

To remove immediately and permanently deleted messages from Outlook IMAP4
client, we should follow these steps:

1. Click the folder from which you want to remove deleted messages.
2. On the Edit menu, click Purge Deleted Messages.

Note: You cannot undelete a message once you purge deleted messages.

For more detailed information, please refer to the following Knowledge Base
article:

178158 OLEXP: Deleted Messages Remain in Folder Message List
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=178158

Note: The article also applies to Outlook.

Additionally, I suggest you use the OWA to access the Exchange mailbox for
remote user. For SBS Server, after you finished the SBS 2003 integrated
setup, and installed the Exchange Server component. You can run CEICW to
implement OWA for external access.

I. If you installed the SBS 2003, please refer to the below steps to run
CEICW:

1. Open the Server Management Console, expand Standard Management ->
Internet and E-mail.

2. On the right pane, click Connect to the Internet.

3. On the dialog box, select appropriate internet connection type to
configure.

4. On the Firewall page, select Enable firewall, click Next.

5. Select E-mail option under the Additional services box.

6. On the Web Services Configuration page, select the Outlook Web Access
(OWA) option under the Allow access to only the following Web site services
from the Internet box.

7. Follow the instruction to finish the wizard.

For detailed information, please refer to the below KB article:

2003
