Hello Wfightsjr,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to
answer your systems and applications questions. Your understanding is
greatly appreciated!
Please under that SQL upgrade does not upgrade the other non-default
instances. This is because by default, MSDE 2000 SP4 is automatically
applied to the instances of SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE) that were
installed during Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup, including the
Monitoring (SBSMONITORING) MSDE instance, and the Windows SharePoint
Services (SHAREPOINT) WMSDE instance.
Additionally, if you have the Premium Edition of Windows SBS 2003, and you
have installed ISA 2004, MSDE SP4 is automatically applied to the ISA
Server 2004 Firewall (MSFW) MSDE instance. In addition, if you are running
instances of SQL Server 2000, SQL Server SP4 is made available for you to
install.
For more detail information, please see:

Server 2003, Premium Technologies

Hope this information helps. If anything is unclear, please feel free to
let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
