Hello Godfrey,
Thank you for posting back!
I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to
answer your systems and applications questions. Your understanding is
greatly appreciated!
I understand that your issue is, when you accessing Companyweb, you receive
"HTTP Error 403". If I have misunderstood your issue, please let me know.
I have read through all the log files you sent to me, from the "setup.log"
file, I found the following error message:
Component Name: Intranet
Version: NA
Installation Status: Failure
Error Message: Setup canceled by the user.
It shows that the Intranet is not being successfully installed. Please read
through my suggestions below first then perform the steps:
1. Please help me to make it clear, when did the issue occur?
a. Issue occurred immediately after installing SBS 2K3 SP1. OR
b. Issue occurred after running SBS 2K3 SP1 for a while.
2. From your first post, you mentioned "Uninstalled sharepoint using the
sequence on KB829114" and "Examination shows that c:\inetpub\companyweb is
empty, as is e:\sqldata\mssql$sharepoint", it seems that you did not
install the SharePoint Services companyweb Web site back on your server. So
I suggest you that still follow the KB829114 to install the Windows
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site for Windows Small Business Server
2003.
How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server 2003
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114
3. After you perform step 2, please insert SP1 disks to install Windows
SharePoint Services 2.0 Service Pack 1 and Windows Small Business Server
2003 Service Pack 1 on your server.
I am greatly appreciated your time and co-operation! If anything is
unclear, please feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing
from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
