Public Contacts Folder - Send mail to contact unavailable in OWA....

Is there any possible way to enable users to send mail to a contact
listed in a Public Folder in Outlook Web Access? The toolbar button
to "Send mail to contact" is grayed out and unavailable while viewing
the contact in the Public Folder. This means the user must actually
copy and paste the e-mail address into a new mail message, which can
become rather tedious. It appears this behavior is by design, since
any permissions I set on the folder do not enable the toolbar button
for the users (even Administrator). This seems like a pretty basic
feature that should be available..... Any chance of having this
feature added?
