Hello Stoke,

Thank you for posting back!

Please note that the update link has a long address so it is separated in two parts; the second part of the address is followed by the first part of the address. I tested all four web links before I sent them out and I can open them all. So please try it again.

Thanks for your time! If you have any further questions or concern, please feel free to post back. I am glad to be of assistance!

Best regards,

Hello Stokes,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you are going to migrate your server to SBS 2K3 server
using the Swingit method. If I have misunderstood your concern, please
let
me know.

Actually, Swing Migration is not the Microsoft recommended method, and we
use the ADMT tool and Exchange Migration Wizard for migration.

Active Directory Migration Tool (ADMT) is used to simplify the process of
moving users, groups, and computers from one Active Directory? directory
service domain to another, or of migrating from Windows 2000 Server domains
to Active Directory domains.

Exchange Migration Wizard simplifies the process of moving mailboxes from
one Exchange server to another when the mailboxes are not in the same
domain.

For the detailed information about Migrating from Small Business Server
2000 or Windows 2000 Server to Windows Small Business Server 2003, please

2003

If you insist on using the swing migration wizard, you can contact Jeff for
support (http://www.sbsmigration.com).

I am appreciated your time and understanding! If you need any assistance on
the SBS 2K3 server, please feel free to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance!

I am posting here just before I complete the migration this weekend. All
lab
test went well, we are ready to swingIT.
I have a total of 5 servers, one of which I am going to upgrade to SBS 03
this weekend. it is a dual XEON with 4GB of memory, 900 GB space on raid
5,
brand new HP. This will run the Exchange and SQL.
>From the other 4, I have two running SQL and 2 are e-mail and web
filtering.
We have 55 users and decreasing, and the main reason is less expensive
licensing (and preventing from the company that bought us out from
joining
our domain, or make us join their domain).

Your opinion?

Thanks

by the way, our CEO decided to use the MSFT upgrade path versus SwingIT, for just in case. Will do on Saturday (running the ASR backup first), will report on Monday.
