Hi Alan,
Thanks for your update!
Before you begin to update, please ensure you have backup the whole server
successfully in case any disaster happened, you can restore back easily.
For your convenience, I list the document link again:

Then, you can follow Dell guide to apply Windows 2003 SP1.
Note: Please download the Windows SP1 from Dell web site. Please view the
following guide carefully and follow the guide:
Getting Started With Dell Update Packages
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smdup/dup12/en/ugwinhtm/1intr
o.htm?c=us&l=en&cs=555&s=biz
After you have applied Windows 2003 SP1, Please follow the following
articles to reapply others service packs:
**Windows SharePoint Services SP1
**Exchange Server 2003 SP1
**Outlook 2003 SP1 (applies to each client)
**Windows XP SP2 (applies to each client)
**Active Sync 3.8 (applies to each client)
**SBS 2003 SP1
You can refer to the following link to apply SBS SP1:
http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?PageContentID=62&tabid=236
In the following website you can find many useful resources related to SBS
SP1:
http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?PageContentID=53&tabid=236
The website includes: What is SP1 for SBS 2003 and what you need to know |
Standard install step-by-step | Premium install step-by-step | Things to do
after the upgrade | Errors that can occur after the upgrade
Hope this helps. Please feel free to post back if you need further
assistance. We are glad to help!
Have a nice day!
